What I do at MEOPAR: I answer questions. I am dedicated to assisting the Executive Director and the MEOPAR team in an administrative capacity. I also keep the treat jar filled, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the Centre.
What I used to do: I worked as a Research Coordinator for NRC’s Institute for Biodiagnostics, where the team conducted human studies using a 4T MRI and studied neuroscience. I’ve worked as a Document Control Officer at Halifax Shipyard, a Human Resources Generalist for an IT company, an Executive Administrator at an airplane engine manufacturing firm, and as a Litigation Secretary for a law firm. I drove a transport once too, but that was just for fun.
Born: Cornwall, ON and moved to Halifax, NS to attend university…never looked back!
What I do in my spare time: When the sun is out (and it’s above 13 degrees) I ride my motorcycle! I love to travel (to hot & sunny destinations, and to anywhere else). I enjoy a good social and would prefer to do as few chores as possible on the weekends.
