SUMMARY:DEB2021: Forecasting in a changing world
DESCRIPTION:Led by Dr. Ramón Figuera, Associate Professor at Dalhousie University, Romain Lavaud and Augustine Starlight  \nThe seventh school, workshop, and international symposium on Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) theory for metabolic organization hosted over 160 participants from 21 countries! (photo here)  \nOpen-access virtual special issue on DEB: Forecasting in a changing world (2022) – Conservation Physiology (2022).  \nThis special issue is being assembled and has gathered 18 contributions, where some publications are already available, including the opening: Lavaud, R., Filgueira, R., & Augustine, S. (2021). The role of Dynamic Energy Budgets in conservation physiology. Conservation Physiology, 9(1), coab083. \nPlanning is underway for DEB2023 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (https://deb2023.sciencesconf.org/) with increased focus on DEB applications and integration using the new AmPtox library which is useful for toxicity analysis and ecological stress data.
