SUMMARY:Why the Ocean Decade Matters: Co-designing Engaging & Inclusive Communication for Canadians
DESCRIPTION:Led by Dr. Lisa (Diz) Glithero, National Lead, and Meghan Callon, Communications Lead of the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition (COLC)  \n\nEndorsed as an official Ocean Decade Activity, this workshop series helped co-design an engaging and inclusive campaign to mobilize Canadian youth, increase their awareness of the Ocean Decade, why it matters, and how to get involved. A group of 12 ocean and communication mentors worked with nearly 20 early career ocean professionals (ECOPs) from different post-secondary institutions and organizations across Canada to design C2C2C: A coastal connectivity challenge getting folks outside and moving to virtually travel and learn about the Canadian coastline and their communities, which will launch in on June 3 as part of Ocean Week Canada. \n \nRead more about how the workshop went.
