Summary:
By bringing together researchers, practitioners, industry, policymakers, and communities CAMPAC CoP aims to better to understand the sources, impacts, and solutions to marine plastic pollution across Canada.

Goal and Approach:
The CAMPAC CoP seeks to advance national leadership in macro and microplastics research and action, ensuring accessible, collaborative, and impactful engagement across Canada. It will support outreach and education, promote standardized research methods, and help translate research into practical solutions for preventing and mitigating plastic pollution. A pilot project focused on microplastics in Arctic marine sediments will examine paint-derived particles, chemical composition, and associated risks, while engaging Arctic communities and providing a model for future research.
