MEOPAR is pleased to become Rainbow Registered!
Accredited by Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), Rainbow Registered is a national accreditation for 2SLGBTQI+ friendly businesses and organizations, with over 200 members and counting.
As part of our EDIA Action Plan, MEOPAR has undergone an inclusion audit in the winter of 2023 providing evidence that we met the CGLCC’s stringent set of standards to ensure 2SLGBTQI+ staff and members feel safe, welcomed, and accepted. The accreditation program grants a recognition to businesses and organizations for demonstrating compliance with the quality standard, which is reviewed annually. Meaning that this is an ongoing process to ensure we’re incorporating EDIA best practices as they evolve.
What’s next? We’ve partnered with the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) on their EDIA Initiative to improve EDIA within the weather, water and climate enterprise. Stay tuned for more details about this transformative project.
