Beyond Barriers for Inclusion Course
3 Courses over 3 Hours in 1 Series
The Beyond Barriers for Inclusion (BB4I 2.0) Course will empower you with actionable skills and tools to support a culture of inclusivity, and impact the lives of equity-deserving groups around you. Through a lens of breaking down binary biases around gender identity and gender expression, you’re going to expand your capacity to identify barriers impacting the representation of people who identify as 2SLGBTQ+ and diverse equity-deserving groups. Simply put, you’re part of a changing narrative for a more welcoming society.

Going beyond binary. Why?
We all have a gender identity, not only transgender and non-binary people. Beginning from this starting point and working intersectionality outwards, you and your organization, alongside organizations across the country, are taking important steps to improve inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
- Have you ever struggled with sharing your pronouns comfortably?
- How about knowing what to do, when you mess up?
- Do you understand what equity in the workplace feels like? As opposed to equality?
Creating an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated on every level, means committing to elevating inclusion skills. As professionals in 2023, we interact with diverse individuals from various backgrounds and experiences. What we may not realize is, that the work we’re producing and the interactions we’re having, may be unintentionally excluding or erasing groups of people due to our own learned sets of binary language and behaviours.
