The MEOPAR Training Program is excited to announce its winter lineup of professional development webinars, lead by Dr. Catherine Maybrey. A champion for innovative and effective career education that reflects the realities of hiring and employment, she partners with individuals and organizations to research, design and deliver customized coaching and training programs that help her clients identify and reach their career goals. With over 10 years’ experience in career development, Catherine has worked with universities and higher education organizations in Canada and the United States, including eight years at McMaster University working with alumni, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Building on the Academic Job Search, this webinar is specifically designed to assist students and postdoctoral fellows with the application materials required in hiring competitions for tenure track, CLA, teaching track and postdoctoral fellowship positions. By the end of this webinar, you will be able to define the purpose and general content for each document, identify campus resources for assistance with your materials, and articulate your qualifications for different types of positions (e.g. tenure vs teaching track). Documents covered in this webinar will include CV, Statement of Teaching Philosophy, Statement of Research Intent, Academic Cover Letters, and Diversity Statements.
